I must admit, having never been to Ginglik nor an Uncharted Audio night I wasn’t sure what to expect.
The night turned out to be immense! Ginglik itself is a wonderful, intimate venue in Shepherds Bush. As a photographer you get to see many venues and experience rude staff but I encountered nothing but good vibes from the people working there. This runs into the venue itself – there’s a fair amount of people who have clearly fallen out of the nearest Wetherspoon’s but all in all, the vibe in Ginglik is fun and friendly.
I try not to gush too much in these posts (failing miserably) but Uncharted Audio really are a law upon themselves. Founded by Russell Parsons (aka Kone-r) the label has solidly been delivering excellent techno for years, as well as pop-electro (and it almost seems an offence to pigeon hole them in this category) such as Line and Council Flats of Kingsbury.
All the music at Ginglik was amazing. The star of the night for me was Cursor Minor who managed to turn a subtly buzzing venue into a full on underground techno night. There were people queuing down the street to come in as they heard this amazing bloke was playing downstairs.
Massive congrats to Russell and all of his label mates for throwing such an amazing party!

Langer “Elements” out now - uncharted audio - [...] Next up we’d like to thank everyone who came down to Ginglik for our 10th birthday party earlier this month. It was amazing!! Serious props to all the performers, helpers, liggers, guests etc who made sure it went off with a bang. And a special mention to Geoff Cowart for the press coverage and Emma Gutteridge for the photography. See a selection of her snaps from the night here. [...]
